I pledge to unequivocally support the U.S. Constitution and free and fair elections. Further, as a candidate for public office or as an elected public official, I will NOT encourage, tolerate, cover up, treat leniently, excuse, stay silent, or justify the actions of other political actors that go beyond the limits of peaceful, legitimate patterns of politics in a democracy.  I pledge to defend the American democratic tradition and will neither tolerate nor spread falsehoods about election outcomes or the election process.
